Ear Coning is an alternative healing practice for cleansing through the ear canal, and has been around for centuries. Given its name, because the practitioner uses a hollow waxed cloth candle, this simple remedy assists in the removing of ear wax and may improve any of the following conditions:
There is no discomfort to the person receiving treatment. Old ear wax and toxins are drawn into the candle which has been placed gently in the ear. The low flame of the burning candle creates a slow vacuum which softens and pulls out the old wax.
Each session lasts approximately an hour and two candles per ear are used. Light reiki or massage may be offered at the time of the ear coning to aid in releasing congestion.
