“Try imagining a place where it’s always safe and warm “Come in” she said “I’ll give you shelter from the storm”.
Bob Dylan

Girls Night Out Workshop is… a shelter from the storm… a safe haven, a place where a girl can be herself, share her stories, connect with others, and discover the power of her own beautiful uniqueness!

Nine girls gathered for an evening filled with inspiring songs and moving stories to reveal music as a tool for boosting self-esteem, managing stress and anxiety, and finding hope in the face of adversity.

Music is a gift we can share with others, and when we do, we receive as much as we give. Thank you to all the girls for sharing your insights, your excitement and your passion with us!

We enjoyed performances in a variety of genres, including folk, bluegrass, acoustic rock, country pop, rock & roll, gospel and even opera! A warm, connected audience listened to sounds of the fiddle, electric keyboard, acoustic guitar and a cappella voices in the comfort of the café and a cup of tea. The girls offered each other mutual praise and admiration throughout the evening, and nobody wanted it to end, most of all me!

By popular vote, next month’s workshop will center on creative art as a pathway to building healthy self-esteem. Hope to see you there!
